First Friday December

"Lauren Stutzman is taking traditional craft to unexpected places, especially with Vermont local and re-purposed materials.  Stutzman transforms foam mattress pads into giant puppet heads, or she’ll use native wood and plants for picture frames.  Her unique and unusual hat art is made with Vermont fibers and fabrics.  When she’s crocheting, which is most of the time; Lauren uses Vermont yarn for her baby sweaters, her tongue in cheek high top slippers for adults, as well as for her "heirloom" Vermont fruits and vegetables.
Ms. Stutzman came upon the Vermont scene in 1995 attending Goddard College.  She loved the area and the people so much she decided to stay.  In 2009, Lauren discovered Etsy.com, an online craft site, and set up shop under her hi guys! label.  She has sold her art pieces all over the world.  She has exhibited in Atlanta, Williamsburg Brooklyn, Montpelier and Burlington. Her one of a kind art is well made and spiced with whimsy and charm. hi guys! products are created to make you feel as if you've just watched a vintage episode of Sesame Street.  She guarantees she will have something kooky and evocative for you, the discriminating buyer."

Come on down and try on some unique hats.  Get your picture taken!  You could be featured on our blog!
